  • Open protocol for integration with continuous delivery servers

    catlight · 0 · Posted

Introducing CatLight Protocol 1.0 - an open standard for continuous delivery servers. CatLight app can now connect to any server that implements this protocol.

New protocol is a replacement for obsolete cc.xml format that was created over a decade ago, and no longer meets the feature set of modern build systems.

CatLight protocol has native support for branches, folders, consistent build history, authentication, caching and selective loading. It provides enough information for CatLight app features like build investigations, automatic branch tracking and personalized build dashboard.

We invite developers of continuous delivery servers to implement this protocol to

    Custom colors for color-blind people

    Craig Monroe · 0 · Posted

    Hello,

I love your product, but when opening the dashboard it is very difficult to see the short history represented by Red and Green boxes. It would be extremely helpful if the colors could be modified in the dashboard so we could use something custom, for example a blue/red combo (like jenkins) to be able to see clearly.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Craig

Is it possible to add new Jenkins jobs from a folder automatically?

    Hi there!

Would it be possible that CatLight adds new builds jobs from a Jenkins folder automatically?

We are using the Jenkins "Pipeline Multibranch Plugin" (https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Pipeline+Multibranch+Plugin) to build various git branches, which adds every branch build to a folder

  • CatLight 2.5 - Monitor builds for Git branches

    catlight · 0 · Posted

CatLight 2.5 now works with Git branches, and will show a separate build history for each branch.

We divide branches in four categories:

    • Primary - they will be always visible on the dashboard. They include branches like master, develop, trunk, etc.
    • Short-lived - those are branches for pull requests. CatLight will show them for one day on the dashboard.
    • Other - this is a category for feature, bugfix and release branches. They will be tracked while they are active, and had at least one build in the past week.
    • Ignored - those branches will not be monitored. You can hide

    Subscription Expiring Soon?

Jason Haffey · 1 · Last reply by catlight

CatLight just started having a little toaster telling me my subscription is expiring soon.  I went to your website and downloaded the lasts version, which says its free.  So why does it keep telling me I am going to lose access to it soon?

    Does CatLight work with Redmine?

Brandon Jones · 1 · Last reply by catlight

Our team uses Redmine for bug tracking.  Was wondering if CatLight currently works with Redmine or if there is any plan for it to in the future.

    Thanks!

Teamcity authentication issue if using NTLM

Daniel Sack · 1 · Last reply by catlight

    Hi,

At the moment, CatLight cannot connect to teamcity if only NTLM is used. GitExtensions is having the same Issue currently. To workaround this issue it's possible to get an authentication cookie when ntlmlogin.html page is browsed. This authentication cookie can than be passed for further rest calls.

a powsershell sample can be found in the answer from mclayton on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11020066/log-onto-teamcity-server-using-rest-api-without-passing-credentials-in-the-url

    Build start icon green

The build start play icon that is shown on the windows notifications is green but the icon in the dashboard is the new yellow color. The windows toast icon should also be yellow to be consistent.

We implemented several changes in this release:

    • Sorting order for the dashboard can be configured in settings
    • Force-refresh button at the bottom of the dashboard
    • Don't show work item changes that I made myself - configured in settings
    • Showing total work item count in full-screen view

  • New tray icons for acknowledged status

    catlight · 0 · Posted

CatLight 2.2 adds a new set of tray icons. You will see a colored outline icon when something is broken, but it does not need your attention.

For example, if the build is broken, but somebody is investigating it, you will get an colored outline icon in tray.

Another example is acknowledging a list of work items.
